With more switches flicked than the Space Shuttle, revs held constant by the complex launch control facility, a screech of tyres and a pop of turbo boost, Kenny McKinstry will head off round the traffic island, through the streets of Port Erin and up Cregneash hill next Friday night to blast the RBS International Manx Rally into life, and with it, round three of the prestigious 2008 Pirelli MSA Gravel Rally Championship.

Rallycross Championship, by building a Renault Clio S1600 for Division 1A. The car, which is scheduled to be ready for the summer is being built by HrRACING Rallyesport (Shropshire) in conjunction with RAT Developments (Lincoln).

The opening round of the Italian Superbike Championship promised much but delivered little when Team Naturally Best Racing rider Tommy Bridewell sustained a broken leg in a freak incident at the Mugello circuit yesterday
